About the role
The UCLA Health Volunteen Summer Program is a volunteer program designed for high school students interested in gaining clinical exposure and experiencing various aspects of the hospital environment. Once accepted into the program, volunteers have the opportunity to work in critical areas such as patient transport, wayfinding, and floating. Volunteer shifts are available seven days a week, with a minimum commitment of 50 hours. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old, have a valid ID, and be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. The program also requires proof of immunity for varicella, MMR, and TB. The application process involves attending a mandatory information session, submitting required forms and documents, and attending an in-person orientation.
