About the role
The NDSU Williston Research Extension Center conducts agricultural research to improve crop health and sustainability of our food production system in northwest North Dakota. The plant pathology department focuses on reducing plant disease via practices such as crop rotation, genetic resistance and fungicide selection in durum wheat, chickpeas, peas and lentils. Research on soil health and beneficial bacteria are also a focus. The plant pathology research intern will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of the plant pathology research program which includes both outdoor field research on small crop plots and lab research.
