About the role
Each session will include five teams, with groups of three students working under the guidance of a UCO engineering student. The academy’s goals include strengthening critical‑thinking skills, fostering diversity and positive team dynamics, and inspiring creativity and imagination. Working collaboratively, students will design, build, test, and refine their projects while competing in challenges across aerodynamics, steam power, 3D printing, structural integrity, and mechatronics. Throughout the academy, faculty from the UCO School of Engineering serve as course instructors. Students are placed into teams of three, each guided by a current UCO engineering student. This low faculty-to-student ratio ensures individualized support and a highly engaging learning experience.
