About the role
The California State Parks Student Employment Program provides high school, college, and graduate students with opportunities to explore future career paths, develop professional skills, and earn money while serving in several roles. These roles include youth aides, student assistants (for undergraduates), and graduate student assistants. Many of these positions do not require previous work experience. Student assistants may also be able to earn credit towards graduation. During the school year and summer months, openings are available at the Sacramento headquarters and most district offices and facilities. Special opportunities are available for students in engineering and architectural sciences, as well as second-year law program students who can work closely with experts in their fields. Because the recruitment and hiring process for student assistants is decentralized, interested applicants need to contact individual District and Division Offices to obtain more information.
