About the role
The College of Saint Mary offers Summer Academy Programs for young women of color in grades ten through twelve. Participants will receive a $500 scholarship to CSM, engage with a STEAM curriculum, meet professional women in the community, participate in cultural experiences, and reside in the residence halls. The academies also provide an opportunity to meet new friends and learn about the process of selecting and applying to colleges. The program runs for one week for each grade level and has a residential component. Space is limited to 30 participants for each week, and there is a $25 registration fee that can be waived. Applicants are required to complete an online application, submit a recent high school transcript, and write a 200-500 words essay about themselves and their interest in participating in the academies.
