About the role
The Summer Bridge Programs at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) offer a wide variety of opportunities for both high school students and admitted first-year students. The programs focus on a range of fields, such as health care, computer science, architecture, mathematics, engineering, and more. The programs are designed to prepare students for college and career success by providing hands-on experience, workshops, field trips, and mentorship support. High school students can participate in programs such as the Global Youth Ambassadors Leadership Program, Engineering Experience Camp, and Medicina Academy Apprentice Program, among others. Admitted first-year students can take part in seminars, workshops, and enrichment programs such as Flames Leadership Network, Introduction to Blackboard 101, and LaHSEP 3.
