About the role
The Marquette-Alger Regional Educational Service Agency Internship Program offers high school seniors a non-paid work experience for 6-10 hours per week with a local business or agency related to their career pathway. The program has had over 150 internship sites host students in the past few years, and students receive high school credit for successfully completing the Work-Based Learning Experience. The internship is a great way to gain real-world experience, network with influential people, and help decide a college major. Students are expected to follow both the internship and business site attendance rules and policies and are responsible for their own transportation to and from the training site. To apply, students must complete an application, resume, and receive a recommendation from their school counselor. The internship program coordinator and the business or agency will then interview the student.
