About the role
The Wayne State Discovery to Cure High School Internship Program is an 8-week program designed for rising high school seniors who are at least 16 years of age. The program, located at the C.S. Mott Center for Human Growth and Development at Wayne State University, provides students with the opportunity to conduct high-quality life science research and exposes them to exciting biomedical research careers. Upon acceptance, interns are assigned a mentor and an individual research project, which they will work on for at least 6 weeks of the program. Interns are expected to attend all mandatory training and scheduled seminars and will participate in Research Presentation Day/Closing Ceremonies, where they will give a 10-minute oral presentation on their research. The program does not provide housing or transportation, and students are responsible for their own arrangements.
