About the role
The internships offered by the Museum of Science in Boston are available for one of three trimesters: fall, winter/spring, and summer. These internships allow for hands-on, work-learn experience in a variety of areas including science education and behind-the-scenes work. Applicants must be enrolled in high school, college or graduate school, or making a career change, and must be eligible to work in the United States. Some internships are paid, while others are unpaid, and any internship can be done for course credit if permitted by the educational institution. The Museum also offers a summer youth internship program for students ages 14-19, which runs for seven weeks and includes paid working hours, professional development workshops, and free admission to the Museum of Science's exhibit halls and venues. The Museum of Science is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer and provides a work environment free from discrimination and harassment.
