About the role
The STEAM Team is a workforce development program and paid fellowship opportunity for Boston teens provided by the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. It explores STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) careers in the world-renowned encyclopedic cultural institution through hands-on learning activities with MFA staff mentors in each of the corresponding STEAM disciplines, local visits of businesses, organizations, and artists doing innovative work in the STEAM fields, and field trips and activities at various institutions around New England. Fellows build strong connections with professionals in their field of interest, cultivate team building and leadership skills with their co-fellows, and foster their workforce development, academic, and professional aspirations through social engagement activities and professional development presentations given by the leading minds in STEAM disciplines. The program is open to rising sophomores who attend a Boston public school and/or live in Boston.
